Trigard's purchasing puts customers first

Stuart McDaniels,
Materials Manager
The famous Stephen Covey phrase, "begin with the end in mind," is a great way for us to think of every new task or challenge we begin. "What do I want to accomplish?" or "What will be my end result?" This thought process keeps us focused on what's important and concentrates our efforts on achieving the end objective.

Since purchasing is usually the beginning of the materials flow in most companies, it is important for the purchasing department to be familiar with the end goal; meeting the customer's needs and expectations. I feel it is critical for the purchasing department at Trigard to put the customer first when making decisions regarding such things as product stocking, inventory requirements, new product sourcing, costing and negotiation.

For those of you I have yet to meet, I look forward to hearing about your companies challenges, successes, and more importantly, what we can do for you to help you grow and succeed. To those of you I've had the pleasure of meeting; I appreciate your input and ideas.

Did you know?
Do you apply butyl tape seal to your vault lids in your plant? These spacers make it easier for you to transport the unsealed vault to the cemetery with the butyl tape already in place. This newer option is more economical than our previous solution, but works just as well.
