Personal Touch™ program removes intimidation factor from vault selection process

Danville, IL - Trigard is proud to announce the launch of their new Personal Touch™ program. Trigard introduced the program at the 2009 National Funeral Directors Association convention in Boston.

The Personal Touch™ program is available on an exclusive touch screen kiosk to help families select a personalized burial vault based on characteristics of a loved one. The program can be customized for each individual funeral home and can also be downloaded on to a laptop or desktop computer. “Many people are not informed about what a vault is and why they need one. It is our job to educate them. The Personal Touch™ program will help get that important information out to the families we serve,” said Linda-Darby Sempsrott, Chief Executive Officer.

The Personal Touch™ program provides personalization by having the choice of adding with honors option or an appliqué. Seeing the personalized vault is what sets this program above the rest. It makes it easy for families to visualize the vault because it is right in front of them.

Angel Jett, Marketing and Graphic Design Specialist and co-developer of the Personal Touch software said, “When I see the burial vault options come to life on screen, I realize more and more how vital this process will be to a family and to funeral directors. The selection process can feel overwhelming to a grieving family. Instead of making decisions based on urgency and cost, this program guides families through the process and focuses on what makes a loved one unique.”

Trigard Wins CANA's Ginny Award!

Trigard was presented with their fourth Ginny Award in the Excellence in Advertising category at CANA's Annual Convention this year. The overall objective of the Trigard "Art of Memorialization" campaign was three-fold. The first goal was to showcase our Gallery bronze memorials, by talented artists such as Thomas Kinkade. The first step in accomplishing this goal was the 2009 ICCFA Expo in Las Vegas, thus bringing us to our second goal: to increase traffic at our booth and obtain the most leads possible. Our ultimate goal is to change the way others view memorialization and to appreciate a memorial as a work of art that truly honors the families we serve. As a final touch, our infamous "living bronze statue" dressed as a painter, complete with a beret and painter's smock and covered in bronze paint from head to toe. He was certainly an attention-getter, and fooled many attendees into thinking he was a real statue. Or perhaps he was a real statue? (We'll never tell.)

In the News: Burr Oak Cemetery Nightmare

It has been Chicago's breaking news - and everyone's worst nightmare. Gravediggers reselling plots and dumping the remains of bodies in an empty, abandoned lot. It is people like these that give funeral professionals a bad name. You never read articles about a funeral director helping a mother or father get through one of the most difficult times in their lives after losing a child. Those families, whether it is in the middle of the night, during the day, at Christmas, have lost somebody that’s very important to them, and they come to us because they trust us and want the best treatment that they can receive. It’s our job to provide that. I’m fearful because we’ve been so used to be standing in the back of the room doing all the behind the scenes work, that we’ve forgotten to get in front of the people. We’ve forgotten to tell them what it is that we do and why we do it....That we are people helping people.
